4th Grade: CHRISTMAS CARDS to our friends in Brooklyn, New York, USA

Children at 4th Grade (Class 4A and 4B) have prepared some Christmas cards and sent them to their friends in Brooklyn, New York (USA).
Thanks everybody for your nice work.
We are looking forward to receiving the cards from our friends.

SCIENCE: 4th grade: Gardening

In Science, we planted some seeds in a pot and we observed how they grew week by week.

All children participated and had to draw their plant and describe what changes they could see:

DAY 1: We put the seed in the soil and we water the plant.

DAY 7: There are some roots and a small stem.

DAY 14: There are some stems and some leaves.

DAY 21: The plant is growing fast. There are roots, leaves and stems.

Finally, each child took the plant home. 

SCIENCE: 5 senses: Tasting game

In Science, we studied the 5 senses: SMELL, TOUCH, HEARING, SIGHT AND TASTE.

And we did an experiment in class to demonstrate that our taste buds in our tongue 

can taste 4 different tastes: SWEET, SOUR, BITTER, SOUR.

I took to class different types of food related to the 4 different tastes and children had to guess 

what it was and the taste it had.

They had fun and learned Science in a motivating way.

BOOK FAIR: 12th December 2016 - USBORNE books

Hello,

Today at school, we hosted a BOOK FAIR sponsored by USBORNE BOOKS.

All children had the opportunity to look at these beautiful and interesting books and

those families who wanted to buy some books, had the chance to do so too.
